Ms. BB

I mentioned last week that I texted Ms. blackbelt (she'll have it within the next year I'm sure!) to let her know when I put in my letter of resignation. I talked to her a little about it this weekend. She was sad that I'm leaving and I felt bad for making her sad. She said that our manager emailed her about it that morning saying that I put in my resignation without talking to anyone and that there was nothing that they could do. Ms. BB told me that she was thinking about emailing her back and saying that if they had been more flexible with my schooling then maybe I would have stayed! But she said she felt like it was too late for her to say anything. I love her. She is the coolest older lady that I have ever met.

She asked where I'm going to work and I told her that I'm kind of nervous to tell people because so far I have gotten mixed reactions (aka my mom cried and I had a couple of friends kind of freak out thinking that I am going to be objectified while most were excited for me). I told her anyway though because I know she's a lot more open-minded than most people. When I told her that I'm going to be working at Hooters, she said "oh, I'm sure that all of those things that people say aren't really true." How cool is that? I wish my grandma would react like that!

I asked if she has ever been there and she said no because her son won't go there with her. haha I told her that she'll have to come over with red, my best friend at D____ and eat while I'm working so they can visit me. She said she might do that. I told her about the hula hooping and she laughed. She said she used to like to hula hoop but that she probably couldn't do it anymore so I told her to come visit me and try!

We exchanged home emails so that we can still talk and we are friends on facebook. I'll just have to convince her to come visit me at work now! Once I get started on my own that is. I can't wait to start training! I think this will be fun.

This is not my Ms. BB btw, it is just an image that I found online to represent her. Just FYI. =)
